Go nuts in Ohio with Buckeye nuts! The Buckeye Tree, Aesculus glabra, is native primarily to the Midwestern and lower Great Plains regions of the United States. The tree grows Buckeye nuts, sometimes referred to as horse chestnuts. We wouldn’t get too excited though, because you really can’t do much with these nuts, except dry them out and string them together on a necklace. We wouldn’t recommend eating them, because they’re full of tannic acid that’s poisonous to humans. They’re kind of lame, but at least they look pretty, just like this nutty Ohio Softstyle Ladies V-Neck T-Shirt
Unfortunately, the Ohio state’s nuts are really nothing to brag about. They’re not edible and you really can’t do anything interesting with them. They’re just part of the state tree though, and thankfully, Ohio isn’t known for its export of fabulous nuts. Just like how My DesTeeNation isn’t known for exporting exotic street cars but is instead known for making awesome XXKeyword01XX. Now that we think about it, could we do both?
